What a joy it is to be the pastor of such a wonderful church. I am originally a product of west Texas. I grew up in Monahans, Texas. I was raised in a godly home and was taught to love the Lord from an early age. As a result of being raised in a godly home, I accepted Jesus as my Savior during my sophomore year of High School. This decision was the most important decision of my life.
I had always wanted to be a football coach, but God called me into the ministry. I am so glad I obeyed the Lord. There is nothing I would rather do than be a pastor.
I attended Hardin-Simmons University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a Biblical Languages Minor. For seminary, I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary obtaining a Masters of Divinity in Church Planting with a minor in Biblical Languages. For my doctoral work, I went back to SWBTS and obtained a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership.
For my informal education, I have been a currier, a window washer, a stocker in a fastener warehouse, newspaper delivery guy, shoe salesman, Voluntary fire fighter, chaplain of the fire department, recovery diver for that fire department. I worked at the maintenance department – wood shop division at Hardin-Simmons, vending machines owner, installer of hospital equipment, husband, and dad.
Through all these various educational experiences, I have learned that God loves me. If God loves me, then I know God loves you. He loved us so much that He gave His one and only son, Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Wow, that is true love. I am so grateful to God for that love.
I believe here at FBC, you can experience that love of God. We have a fantastic church that is not only loved by God, but loves God. If you do not have a church home, I hope that you would consider visiting us and worshipping with us.
Here at FBC Port Neches, we are dedicated to the worship of our Lord and Savior!
I hope to see you Sunday!
Administrative and Discipleship Pastor
Rob did not come from a traditional Christian home. As a middle schooler, he came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior because of the efforts of his next-door neighbor. Shortly after that he felt his call to ministry. Rob did not know what his role in ministry would look like but was willing to serve in whatever way possible so that others could be reached for Christ in the way in which he was.
He received his Bachelors of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University. Currently Rob is enrolled in Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary working toward his Masters in Theological Studies.
He and his wife, Carrie, have been married for over 15 years. They have three children and one Yellow Lab.
Rob has been working in Student Ministry for over 16 years. He has had the joy of working with hundreds of students through the local church and denominational work. His greatest joy in ministry is seeing students act in obedience by sharing Christ, actively participating in the local church and by using their gifts in ministry.

MINISTER OF PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN
I grew up in a typical small town in central Louisiana. I experienced divorce, drug addiction, and a lot of other things little ones should never have to endure. But of the things my parents did right, they raised me in church. I was also able to live next door to my grandparents who played a huge roll in my faith, blasting The Gaither Gospel Hour everyday as I got off the school bus!
Having that faith developed at such a young age equipped me in knowing that God loves me, is for me, and has great plans for me. That foundation saw me through many tough times and led me to meeting Trey. One of the first questions he asked on our first date was, “Have you been saved?” What a relief to be 17 and to have found a Godly man so young! Trey’s family is the polar opposite of mine so I was able to see what strong marriages that put God first could do. That gave me the drive to learn and help equip families in building that foundation for their children and grandchildren.
Trey and I didn’t waste much time and were married very young in 2007 and had Kayleigh not long after in 2008. Soon came Anna, and last but not least- Levi. Our marriage has seen tough times with two life threatening accidents, a miscarriage, a NICU baby, along with all of the other day to day things that can knock a couple down but we know that God loves us, is for us, and has great plans for us and FBCPN. I love all things vintage, Fall, and just about any Hallmark Christmas movie.
“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with gratitude.” Colossians 2:6-7
ASSOCIATE STUDENT MINISTER
David grew up in a Christian home with four brothers and four sisters. Being a pastor’s son, David heard about Jesus at a very young age and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was thirteen years old at Second Baptist Church Kingwood. A few weeks later, David decided to get Baptized in order to publicly display his decision. He wanted to let everyone know that he is no longer living for himself but is living his life in a way that pleases the Lord.
When David was nineteen years old, he served on the International Mission Board for one year. India opened his eyes to a lost and broken world that needs a Savior. He learned that God uses all types of people to spread the gospel. God used my sister and I to start a house church with some of our Indian friends. David enjoys traveling and has a heart for all cultures to know the Lord.
Stephen F. Austin was the college that David chose to attend. He majored in Kinesiology/teaching. Coaching and teaching was his profession for a few years before he was called to the ministry. Kayla Wilson luckily married David in 2015 and has tried to straighten him out ever since. They have one dog and five classroom fish. Kayla works at an elementary school in Nederland and David will be substitute teaching in the area.
